Good Planets Are Hard To Find

At Harbour Club we pride ourselves in providing an eco-conscious service and product offering.

You won’t find paper towels in our restrooms - we have individual wash cloths for you to dry your hands with.  Some say that washing cloth must be more energy-intensive than using paper, but electric dryers are twice as energy-efficient as the manufacture of paper towels.

Our hair care line, Kevin Murphy, is committed to reducing plastic in an amazing way by cleaning up our oceans and reclaiming that plastic to package their hair products. The bottles are made from 100% recycled ocean plastics to create a circular supply chain. In doing so, they will be the first ever beauty brand to implement this practice, which will save over 360 tons of new plastic each year! The recycled bottles will begin debuting globally mid-2019.

Starting April 23rd, 2019, we will be starting a refill station for the Kevin Murphy Hydrating Wash and Rinse, as well as the Kevin Murphy Angel Wash and Rinse. When you refill your previously purchased KM bottle, you’ll receive 10% off purchase.

Our skincare line, Yon-Ka, takes a stand for sustainable development when it comes to their packaging. Yon-Ka uses cardboard from trees that are managed and handled in a sustainable manner by a Swedish company, which is one of the 100 most sustainably oriented companies in the world, according to the rating of the United Nations Worldwide pact.

Yon-Ka elects to not use any endangered plants, vegetables or food resources that are essential to local populations in their ingredients.

In addition, Yon-Ka helps sponsor the implementations of beehives with the Association “Un Toit pour les Abeilles” (A Shelter for Bees”), in order to help support bees’ populations and combat the alarming loss of pollinating insects.

Our makeup line, Jane Iredale, has earned ECOCERT’s Natural and Organic Cosmetics certification for their hydration sprays including POMMISST, Balance and D2O. Each refreshing and uplifting spray has been reformulated and repackaged to comply with ECOCERT’s certification standards while retaining essential features, benefits and key ingredients of its unique original formula. ECOCERT strives to promote the use of ingredients derived from renewable resources and organic farming in addition to using production and manufacturing processes that are environmentally sound and safe for human health. To earn certification products must be comprised of a minimum of 95 percent ingredients of natural origin, and a minimum of 5-10 percent ingredients from organic farming.

ECOCERT certifies that Jane Iredale POMMISST, Balance and D2O Hydration Sprays meet and exceed this standard. The Hydration Sprays are 100 percent natural and 30 percent organic, and the products’ sourcing, manufacturing and packaging have minimal effect on the environment.

Did you know that all Jane Iredale makeup trays can be removed from the compact and replaced with refills? This includes the “Pure Pressed Mineral Foundation” and “Beyond Matte”! Simply turn the compact over and you will see a little hole near the hinge. Poke the hole with a paperclip to pop out the old makeup tray and replace it with a new refill. The packaging of “Dream Tint Tinted Moisturizer”, " Smooth Affair Facial Primer" and “Glow Time BB Cream” are all recyclable! When you’ve finally reached the bottom of your foundation, and are ready to replace it, be sure to recycle your empty bottles.

From the product brands we partner with, to the materials used for services, we are always thinking earth friendly!
